I have been a Five-Element acupuncturist for 30 years - and love my work. I had the privilege of studying with JR Worsley, whose pioneering 50-year career was devoted to establishing the five-element classical acupuncture tradition in the west. I have taught Five Element acupuncture regionally for the last 25 years and teach and tutor students in my practice on a continual basis.
I have been a meditation practitioner for 25 years and am a senior student and practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism. I teach both meditation and Buddhist studies. Both the five-element Daoist medicine tradition and the five-wisdom Buddhist meditation tradition influence my work.
If not out walking in the hills, I'm surely wandering the beaches in awe of all things marshy or airborne or moving in and out of the waves. Preferably walking with a pocket, or with a dog or a child who knows about exploring and playing. I live with my husband - with and without various children and grandchildren - in rural Vermont.
I have a master’s degree (MAc.) from the Academy of Five Element Acupuncture as well as licensed acupuncture (LAc.) degrees from the Worsley Institute of Classical Acupuncture in Florida and the College of Traditional Acupuncture in England. In addition, I have a Masters degree in Education from Lesley College, specializing in child and human development.
I am a nationally (NCCAOM) and Vermont certified acupuncturist.
